Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This will be a very short
Feed-Point. There was no meeting this month. Instead we had a delightful
Pot-Luck Christmas Supper at the Northern Door Inn. The food was delicious,
conversation interesting, and everyone had a good time. Eleven people were
present.
There are just a few things to mention. APRS was set up on the tower during Sky WARN. The signal is going out and being received by several other stations. Twenty-five Dollars was sent to the ARRL for the Spectrum Defense Fund. You have probably all heard by now that the FCC is dropping all CW requirements from licensing. | I am busy recruiting people for Can-Am. Please let me know what you can do to help. The races will be March 3,4,5. We have a visiting ham in Fort Kent from California. His call is WC2S. He is a fill-in surgeon at NMMC until Jan.2. He has a handheld with him. N1EVO and I have spoken with him on .64. Before he came he contacted me on Echolink asking for information about our town. I hope 2007 will be a good one for ham contacts for everyone!
