Letter From Our President Dear Fellow Hams, Now it is the first of September, the wind is blowing hard and warm. Remnants of a hurricane? Maybe. We had a frost up in the Gaspe one morning, and we traveled over a sizable snow patch on one of our long treks. We saw several large snow packs in the mountains. They are closer to winter than we are. We still have time for tower and antenna work. While up on two of the highest mountains I tried to get into the International Repeater Group's Campbellton repeater, 147.390+ with the required tone sequence. I thought being up as high as we were on Mt. Albert I would be able to reach it. Maybe if I had had 50 watts, I could have, but no results with my handheld. Nothing has been heard from N8VJM, so N1CHF has started working on a new Home Page for the club, and we are trying to figure out how to upload Feed-Point. Please bear with us in this transition period. |
If anyone of you has experience with posting items on web pages, we would welcome your assistance. Especially as to having graphics turn out the same after posting as before! The August meeting only had 3 members
present, so we enjoyed a good supper and watched a movie. N1CGV, N1CHF, and
N1UYA were the members present. Address comments, questions, or
